Since its establishment, Henan Provincial Metallurgical Design Institute has completed thousands of engineering design and consulting projects, covering provinces and cities including Henan, Hebei, Shanxi, Sichuan, Yunnan, Gansu, Shaanxi, and Shandong. Among them: the Zhengzhou Mineral Comprehensive Utilization Intermediate Test Research Base Project won the National Excellent Project Silver Award; the Angang 650 Rolling Mill Equipment Renovation Project won the National Construction Commission's Excellent Design Commendation Award, and the special rolling mill technology developed and researched by our institute won the second prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award from the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry and the Henan Provincial People's Government; the silicothermic magnesium smelting process won the Yellow River Cup Award for Science and Technology Development from the Henan Provincial Science and Technology Commission; the Songxian Fluorite Mine Beneficiation Plant won the second prize of the Excellent Design Award from the Provincial Planning and Economic Commission; the Luoyang Steel Plant Energy-Saving Renovation Project won the second prize of the Provincial Excellent Design Award; the Luoshan Silver Mine Mining, Beneficiation and Metallurgical Integrated Project won the third prize of the Provincial Excellent Design Award; the Gansu Hexibao Iron Industry Company Pellet Sintering Project won the second prize of the Excellent Engineering Design Award; and other design awards received in recent years. Dozens of excellent design awards have been given for various types of metallurgical, mining, and large industrial plants, mid-to-high-rise buildings, multi-functional electrified teaching buildings, large clubs, multi-functional auditoriums, and other industrial and civil building projects.
