The ultra-low emission retrofit project for the pelletizing, grinding, and pelletizing systems of the ironmaking plant mainly involved the dust removal upgrades at the various material inlets of the pellet dryer, grinding mill, and connecting belt conveyors. The original dust collectors were too small; after being replaced with wet dust collectors, they met emission standards. The retrofit was completed 10 months after the contract was signed with Fangda Special Steel, and the plant was put into formal production.
